His Eminence, Bishop Andrej, the Swiss Bishop, visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Zurich today, where he was received by Consul General Mihajlo Šaulić and his staff. During the cordial and constructive meeting, numerous topics of importance to the Serbian community in Switzerland were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to planning joint activities and projects that will contribute to improving relations with the Serbian people in the diaspora. It was emphasized that preserving the cultural and spiritual identity of the Serbian community is of central importance and that support must be provided, especially among the younger generations, in preserving language, traditions, and customs.

The Consul General expressed his gratitude to His Eminence for the efforts of the Serbian Orthodox Church to date to unite and preserve the unity of the Serbian community. He also emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue and cooperation between church and state institutions, which will further strengthen relations with the Serbian diaspora.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that concrete initiatives will be developed in the coming period to contribute to strengthening the unity and mutual support of Serbs in Switzerland.
