Death registration
Death registration of citizens of the Republic of Serbia in the Swiss Confederation, for the purpose of entering the fact of death in the registry book kept in the Republic of Serbia, through diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Serbia, is carried out in the personal presence of the applicant, and on this occasion the following documentation in original is attached:
1. An extract from the registry book of deceased persons on an international form, not older than 6 months;
The extract must be on the form prescribed by the Convention on the Issuance of Extracts from Registry Books in Multiple Languages, signed in Vienna on 08.09.1976.
2. Translation of the above extract by an authorized court interpreter into the Serbian language;
3. Passport of the deceased person (and ID card if the deceased person possessed one);
4. Passport of the person reporting the death, in order to establish the identity of the applicant;
Death reports, as well as other changes in personal status, can also be reported directly to the registry office in the Republic of Serbia.
